I am a man of humble roots. I grew up in northern San Diego County California and paid very little attention to any of the finer things in life. Going through college I started to get interested in food and wine. After graduate school, I pursued my career in agriculture only to find myself longing to be in consumption, rather than production of food and wine. I have been lucky enough over the last few years to be involved with wineries, make connections with local restaurants, work with specialty food producers and, most importantly, partake in some of the finest foods and drinks around. Sharing my experiences will be a new challenge but I am excited to bring an approachable experience to an otherwise unapproachable culture. I am a Level 1 Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers. Not that that means you should listen to me!
